Alfonzo in 3 words: Dedicated, Empathetic, and Optimistic

Alfonzo Garcia is a dedicated senior whose commitment to service and teamwork shines both on and off the field. He is actively involved in the Army National Guard and plays soccer, two pursuits that reflect his discipline, resilience, and drive to succeed.

Alfonzo’s career aspirations are ambitious and diverse. He is interested in becoming a trauma surgeon, serving in the National Guard for 20 years, pursuing real estate, or even becoming a professional soccer player. Each of these paths reflects his passion for excellence and his desire to impact others in meaningful ways.

He draws inspiration from both of his parents. His mother serves as a role model through her love and endurance, overcoming challenges with empathy and strength. His father inspires him with his faith, work ethic, and determination, always encouraging Alfonzo to give his best through God. He also credits his former soccer coach, Coach Stoffregen, as one of his most influential mentors. Coach Stoffregen’s belief in him not only sparked his love for soccer but also motivated him to focus on academics and strive toward his goals.

After high school, Alfonzo plans to attend college full time while continuing part-time service in the military. He describes himself as dedicated, empathetic, and optimistic. He values the positive energy he brings to his community, contributing to the sense of unity he admires in Jackson, where organizations and neighbors come together to help those in need.

As a team member with specific tasks, Alfonzo knows the power of collaboration. His positive outlook, discipline, and motivation make him a valuable contributor to both his school and community, with a future full of promise.

“I consistently contribute in any way I can, whether by giving back to those in need or by making an effort to brighten someone's day.”
