Emma in 3 words: Hardworking, Organized, and Friendly

Emma Niven is an energetic and dedicated student involved in volleyball, tennis, Jackson Juniorettes, and her church community. Her wide range of activities reflects both her love of teamwork and her desire to serve others.

Emma is passionate about exploring careers that allow her to connect with people and make a difference. She is particularly drawn to the medical field, with hopes of becoming a nurse or physician assistant. At the same time, she is inspired by her creative side and would love to pursue interior design or hairstyling, blending her artistic talents with her love for building meaningful relationships.

Her dad inspires her with his relentless work ethic, determination, and the sacrifices he makes for his family. She also credits her art teacher, Coach Marsh, as a major influence in her life, particularly for encouraging her to grow her faith and strengthen her relationship with God.

After high school, Emma plans to attend college full time. She describes herself as hardworking, organized, and friendly. She values Jackson’s strengths, including its restaurants, strong medical facilities, and cancer center, which serve as vital resources for the community. She also appreciates the role that local churches play in addressing challenges by supporting the homeless, leading missions, and partnering with organizations such as RIFA and Birth Choice.

Emma sees her community role as a team member with specific tasks, a promoter, and a behind-the-scenes coordinator—someone who ensures that plans are carried out successfully, even if the spotlight isn’t on her. With her drive, creativity, and compassion, Emma is ready to use her skills to serve others and create a positive impact.

“I believe my super powers are being kind to everyone I meet and making people feel loved and included in different situations. I am also very organized which I feel like is a super power because it helps me to feel more motivated to get things done and it is very helpful in school and throughout life.”
