Makenzie’s career goals include becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, a physical trainer for a sports team, or pursuing graphic design. She hopes to study at Auburn or Samford University and is determined to build a career that combines her interests in health, creativity, and service.

Her mom is her biggest inspiration, serving as a role model through her hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing for their family. Makenzie also credits her cross country coach as the most influential teacher in her life. Despite facing many challenges, her coach continues to show gratitude and faith each day, inspiring Makenzie to keep a positive perspective and remember the importance of resilience and faith.

After high school, Makenzie plans to attend college full time while working part time. She describes herself as ambitious, considerate, and diligent. She values Jackson’s variety of opportunities and activities, which make it possible for everyone to find something they enjoy. She also recognizes the strength of Jackson’s faith-based network, where churches provide support, counseling, and opportunities for youth and adults alike to stay connected and involved.

In her community role, Makenzie sees herself as a front-of-the-pack leader, behind-the-scenes coordinator, strategy setter, and team member with specific tasks.
