Julia Lester

Mentor, Finance Manager at Jackson Energy Authority

Julia is native to West Tennessee, growing up in Trenton and moving to Jackson after graduation. She has both a Bachelors and Masters degree from University of Tennessee at Martin, and is a certified municipal finance officer. She was a graduate of the Leadership Jackson class of 2024, and enjoyed being part of the Community Impact Grant panel.

She has worked for Jackson Energy Authority for nearly 20 years and is the Finance Manager there. She has coached numerous teams over the years, her favorite being a soccer coach for JAWS, Jackson Area Wide Soccer.

She and her husband Jeremy have three kids - Jonah, Gavin, and Ava Grace who all attend Jackson Madison County Schools, active in school/city/county league sports, and involved with several local theater programs.
