Mia Womack is a student-athlete who shines on the volleyball court while also cultivating big dreams for her future. She is exploring career paths in fashion design, where she can express her creativity, or in the medical field as an ultrasound technician, where she can help others in meaningful ways.
Mia looks up to her brother as her biggest inspiration. His success in school and ability to pursue the career he wanted motivates her to do the same. She also credits her 7th-grade English teacher, Dr. Tyus, as her most impactful teacher. Dr. Tyus pushed her and her classmates to always give their best, a lesson Mia carries with her as she moves forward.
After high school, Mia plans to attend college full time while working part time. She describes herself as funny, nice, and shy—someone who enjoys making others laugh but also appreciates her quiet and thoughtful side.
Mia values Jackson’s diversity and the opportunities it provides for growth and achievement. She admires how the community sets rules and enforces them with consistency, helping to create a fairer and more accountable environment.
In her community role, Mia sees herself as an idea creator, bringing new perspectives and creativity to the table to help address challenges and inspire progress.
“My strengths are listening to how someone else feels or what they think and having the ability to match someone else's energy.”
