Sofia Lopez is a thoughtful and creative JCM Early College Senior with big dreams for the future. She envisions herself in a variety of exciting career paths, including becoming a fashion designer, director, pilot, or lawyer. Her interests reflect her passion for creativity, leadership, and determination.

The people who inspire her most are her mother and artist Lana Del Rey, both of whom she admires for their resilience and refusal to give up during difficult times. Sofia also holds a special place in her heart for her first-grade teacher, who taught her how to speak English and opened new doors for her future.

After high school, Sofia plans to attend college full time while working part time, and she is also open to the path of serving in the military. She describes herself as shy, passionate, and curious.

Sofia appreciates the strengths of her community, particularly the way people help one another and communicate openly. She admires how the Jackson community comes together to address challenges with creativity and drive, especially when helping those in need. In her role, Sofia sees herself as a behind-the-scenes coordinator, idea creator, strategy setter, and team member with a specific task—someone who thrives in collaboration while bringing thoughtful ideas to the table.
